SCULPTING A Portrait Bust

Learning to see three dimensionally is a skill that can be applied daily in almost any vocation. Over the course of a few days I will teach you how start with an armature and through digestible steps work your way up to a naturalistic rendering of your face and upper shoulders.  I will be teaching you under a lake front pavilion with a view of 101 acres of green grass and a refurbished barn. To see what you will end up with, please look at STUDENT WORK.

Availability starts May 21st 2018

12+ HOURS OF INSTRUCTION

Teaching sculpture is one of my favorite classes that I've had the honor of teaching for a couple of years now at the University of Missouri. Rest assured that each step will be covered at a pace that is right for you. That is why I've factored in 5 days at 3 hours each.

Fiberglassing costumes is one of the many tools used in the cosplay world as well as film and theatre so I chose I few years ago to dive in.

Julian Foley does a great job instructing novices and more advanced sculptors alike. He knows the human form quite well and is a true student of the clay. He makes the classroom a fun atmosphere, which enhances the learning experience. I would definitely recommend taking a portrait bust class with Julian. I became a better sculptor from his expertise and enjoyed doing it.
